Local Area Rep for Dundrum, Dundrum Rathdown Constituency

Mark works as a Treasury and Tax manager and is a qualified accountant with the ACCA. Mark holds a diploma in Economics under David McWilliams. While studying to be an accountant Mark came 12th in the world in ACCA exam P2 – Advanced Corporate Reporting.

Mark is particularly interested in providing solutions to the current housing and rental crisis, the unaffordable cost of childcare, the effects of Brexit, green energy solutions and the general high cost of living in Ireland that is having a detrimental effect on small Irish businesses as people have less and less disposable income to spend in our economy.

Mark is passionate in his belief that the government should be investing in revenue generating assets today especially in this low interest rate environment that will more than pay for themselves overtime and help us fund our public services in the future.

Mark is angry at the way the country has been run in the past, whether it be the billions lost in NAMA or the fact that we are blindly heading for another property bubble but Mark is hopeful that there must be a better way and that the SocDems can reduce inequality and improve the lives of the Irish people into the future.
