Access to timely, affordable, and high-quality GP services is a cornerstone of a fair and effective healthcare system. The Social Democrats are conducting this public survey to better understand people’s experiences of GP care across Ireland — including access, waiting times, costs, and the availability of services in local communities. The insights gathered will help inform our contributions to Dáil debates and policy proposals aimed at improving GP services for patients and healthcare professionals alike.

We welcome responses from patients, carers, and anyone who has interacted with GP services. Your feedback will help ensure that the lived experiences of people across the country are reflected in national discussions about healthcare reform.

Data Protection and Privacy

This survey is conducted in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Irish data protection law. Participation is voluntary and any personal data collected will be used solely for the purposes of research and policy development by the Social Democrats in relation to GP services. No response will be raised in Dáil debates without explicit consent. Responses will be processed securely, will not be shared with third parties, and will be reported only in an anonymised and aggregated form.
