Meet Cat

Cat O’Driscoll is the Social Democrats councillor for Cabra-Glasnevin on Dublin City Council.

Since making Dublin her home in 2012, Cat has worked in students’ unions, Higher Education and Mental Health. Cat was co-opted to Dublin City Council in February 2020 and is currently the Chair of the Arts, Culture, Leisure and Recreation Strategic Policy Committee and board member of the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin City Council Culture Company, Dublin City Education & Training Board and Dublin Town.

In 2023 she completed the Urban95 Academy, a programme for city leaders around the world about making cities better for babies, toddlers and their caregivers and secured funding for a one year pilot in Dublin. Cat works with Deputy Gary Gannon, Ellen O’Doherty and Daniel Ennis for the people of Dublin Central.

The Social Democrats lead with a vision of a fairer and more equal Ireland and I bring those values to my work as a Dublin City Councillor.

Cat’s Priorities

  • Working for a city which is accessible, welcoming and safe for all babies, toddlers and their caregivers.
  • Fighting for a Dublin that provides spaces for culture to be created, developed and experienced.
  • Ensuring as a city we build high quality homes, parks, transport and public services.
  • Committed to meeting our climate goals in a fair and just approach.
  • Championing and supporting the great work of community groups who make Dublin the vibrant place it is.
