I’m Eoin Hayes, the Social Democrats Councillor for Kimmage-Rathmines, which spans from Dartry to Drimnagh and from the Dodder to the Grand Canal.
I’m a life-long renter and aspiring homeowner. I know the housing crisis personally, and its devastating effect on families and young people across the city, and it’s why I decided to stand in the recent local elections.
I live in Rathgar with my partner and work as a consultant helping small businesses to grow, in particular in the climate sector. I’m a graduate of London Business School, and I’m passionate about creating economic opportunities for everyone.
The local election was about advocating for a high quality of life consistent with a European capital city: affordable and available housing, strong public transport, clean, safe, and calm streets, and green spaces we can thrive and play in.
Please join our campaign if you believe Dublin deserves nothing less.
I believe firmly in social justice, climate justice, and shared prosperity, and I want to see those principles furthered by Dublin City Council and in our politics.
