Meet Jesslyn

I’m Jesslyn Henry, the Social Democrats Local Election Candidate for Artane-Whitehall.

I have lived in Coolock all my life and am very aware of the challenges faced by this wonderful community.

I work as a Special Needs Assistant and have a strong interest in improving facilities and services for our children and young people, having helped to establish a youth club in Kilmore West.

I was brought up to believe in respect, dignity and a fair deal for all. This ethos is what brought me to the Social Democrats. A party where it doesn’t matter what school you attended, where your from or what your job is. What counts is that you are willing to stand up and be counted and believe in a fair deal for all, not just the elite. I am ready to stand up and I will stand up for every person in the Coolock Artane area who deserve a fairer deal in health, housing, education and community facilities.

Jesslyn’s Priorities

• Investment in public services and amenities, including community centres and play areas.
• A fair society with affordable housing as a priority.
• An inclusive education system with adequate supports and services for the children that need it.
• Proper funding to support mental health and assessment of need for our children and young people.
• Free universal access to health and education.
