Meet Ali

I’m Ali Morris, the Social Democrats Local Election Candidate for Mullingar.

I’m running for election because I think Mullingar is a great town with huge potential.

I grew up in Mullingar and returned to my roots four years ago. I have spent much of my career working in hospitality and tourism, and for the last six years I have been working in event production, mainly for the national St. Patrick’s Festival in Dublin.

I believe that the Council could be doing so much more, particularly in the areas of affordable housing and better development of public and community spaces.

I am hard-working and passionate about improving our town and I would be honoured to represent you on Westmeath County Council.

Mullingar is a brilliant town with so much potential and I want to be a voice for the future of our town. I look forward to meeting the people of Mullingar and imagining our future together.

Ali’s Priorities

• Prioritise the development of social and affordable housing.
• Fight for more localised healthcare and mental health services.
• Push for increased capacity on Dublin train services.
• Fight for increased investment in community, culture and tourism initiatives in Mullingar and surrounding areas.
