Candidate for Cork North-West

Ciarán lives in Ballincollig in Cork with his young family. He is a barrister and lecturer and previously served at sea.

Ciarán joined the SocDems due to a desire for, and a wish to contribute to, a credible national alternative to traditional Irish politics; an alternative underpinned by transparency, inclusivity, fairness and stability.

Ciarán is also deeply passionate about caring about the most vulnerable in our society, universal healthcare in our communities, affordable housing, reducing the costs of living, an anti-corruption agency and empowering local business and communities.

CORK YES CAMPAIGNERS!

In 2015, we #MadeGraTheLaw and in 2018, we #RepealedThe8th. The Social Democrats threw themselves into the Yes campaign and are proud to be the Repealiest political party with 90% Yes according to the RTÉ poll. So if you enjoyed the #TogetherForYes campaign and want to stay involved, join the Cork Social Democrats. There's so much to be done in housing, healthcare, mental health services, education, the cost of living and beyond. If you agree, contact us here or on twitter @CorkSocDems.
