Meet Susan

I’m Susan Doyle, the Social Democrats Local Election Candidate for Cork City South East.

I am a mother of two primary school children and a Solicitor in Douglas with a practice that focuses significantly on disability rights, housing, immigration and discrimination.

Through my work I have encountered too many issues to count in our local area and I want to use my experience to promote meaningful change.

My goals are to improve access to housing both in the private and rental market and to ensure that people eligible for social housing are given adequate housing, suitable to their needs.

I will also focus on an improvement of disability and mental health services in Cork and improved security and amenities in the local area.

I joined the Social Democrats to work for a society that is inclusive and fair. The most important changes can be made at a local level and we need representatives who will fight for better housing, disability and mental health services, public services and amenities.

Susan’s Priorities

  • An inclusive, fair and just society with affordable housing as a priority.
  • Better access to essential services for our communities such as GPs, Mental Health Services, Disability Services, Gardaí and Fire Services.
  • Improved local amenities including parks, recycling facilities, playgrounds, sports facilities, a swimming pool & recreational areas for the Mahon, Blackrock, Douglas and Rochestown Area.
  • Regeneration of derelict buildings and vacant sites.
  • Increased Public Transport Services – connecting our towns & villages.
